Clean Clothes Connection

A new mission initiative aimed at meeting a practical yet deeply meaningful need in the community through access to clean clothing. Clean Clothes Connection is rooted in the belief that small acts of care can restore dignity, build relationships, and open doors for connection. Clean clothing can have a profound impact on a person’s sense of self-worth, health, and ability to engage with others.

In conjunction with Colonial Laundromat, our Missions Team has put together care packs that are distributed to those in need. Each pack includes a $20 laundry gift card that can be used at any self-service Colonial Laundromat location, three laundry detergent pods, three dryer sheets, and a “You’re Invited” information card about Rome First UMC.

Through this mission's initial kick-off, over $1,000 in laundry gift cards have already been distrubuted throughout the community!
