Music Ministry

The Music Ministry of Rome First is a key component of who we are. The entire congregation is encouraged to lift their voices in praise and worship during the service as our music ministry team leads the singing of hymns and contemporary worship song and additional service music to complete the worship experience. All are welcome!

Praise Band

Praise Band is a contemporary ensemble composed of keyboard, bass, drums, vocalists and other instruments as available. The group prepares for inclusion in at least one service per month. Rehearsals are on Saturdays based upon the schedules of the musicians. Due to the specific make-up, auditions may be required.

Bell Choir

Bell Choir meets Thursdays at 6:45 P.M. and provides a different kind of musical experience, playing about once a month within the Sunday service. Ringers must be able to read basic music and lift 1-5 pounds regularly. If there are enough young ringers or beginners interested in learning, a training bell choir will be formed at the convenience of the players and director.

Praise Choir

Praise Choir is an intergenerational chorus where all ages and abilities are welcome as long as they want to sing praise to the Lord! This group appeals to those who are unable to make a weekly commitment, but want to sing for joy and fun. Praise Choir sings several times throughout the year and rehearses for 15-20 minutes after the Sunday Worship Service in the weeks prior to singing in church.
